Goals of Therapy & Counselling

What can one expect to gain from therapy and counselling:

More Aliveness

One can expect to move away from numbness, to gain more feelings and expression, along with the physical ability to move freely (when possible), the ability to understand and recognize triggers, and strategies for coping with them.

Self Healing

Chronic tension creates pain, disease, and disfunction in people. Healing comes from gaining the ability to work with the bodies defense system. Once these defenses are lowered, one can express more, sound more, cry more, move more, and establish healthy boundaries for themselves.

Self-Expression

The Words to express your feelings and needs. To be comfortable with those words and speak your truth.

A Model for Healthy Living

Freedom from overmedication, dependencies on food, people, drugs, and rescuing. Recognition of survival patterns  (victim, rescuer, perpetrator) and other patterns that have been established for survival. Knowing when you’re in them, and finding strategies to get out of them.
